In March 2022 Ana Berruguete of LA FÁBRICA contacted me, through the Antonio Gades Foundation (FAG), to collaborate with the audiovisuals for an exhibition they were mounting in the exhibition hall of the Centro Cultural de la Villa in Madrid, on the figure of ANTONIO GADES.

Thanks to my long-standing relationship with the FAG, the knowledge and confidence I have with the audiovisual material, and the history of Antonio Gades, the work went smoothly. As always, there was time to experiment and find new forms of audiovisual representation.

After the Exhibition

The exhibition was a success and was very well attended. I visited it several times, as after the opening the FAG commissioned me to make a video documentary about the exhibition.

I was very surprised while working on the exhibition, and later during the filming of the documentary, by the intense and meticulous work carried out by Eugenia Eiriz and María Esteve together with Ana Berruguete. Not forgetting the rest of the women who work at the Foundation: Beatriz Guadix and Julieta Mariño. Stella Arauzo, artistic director of the Company, also contributed a lot with her knowledge. Although after so many years I shouldn’t be surprised… but it has been like that, every day a box of surprises. And I confirm that creativity is a process that can be taken to infinity.
